We have a friend whose birthday falls on today, who is also a wife and a mother. So imagine, three days of celebration (Mother's Day, Valentines' Day and Birthday!), how lucky! :) What would you get for your partner in such a scenario? Get the kids to craft cards & gifts, do a day's worth of housechores and cook meals for Mom's Day, take her out to a scenic spot with a picnic for two and have a quiet Valentines after work but throw a dinner bash with a quaint gift for the birthday? :P Just my imagination...
Ten thousand miles away, a friend back at home has just lost her mother, after four tough months. She comes from a close-knitted family. This friend of mine, to me, is the queen of positiveness. In my opinion, it takes a very strong person to keep positive in life, especially at trying times such as this. Knowing her, if it's Mother's Day, my friend would still take it in a light, celebratory mode, cherishing that she had the world's best mother and thank God for that.
For me, moments like this makes me reflect on my own life, what about you?
A short post whilst I gather my rambling mind on other topics :p So much to talk about, so many random observations to share, so hard to sit still at home when the sun is high up in the skies!
Sipping green tea on a sunny Wednesday afternoon,
