Once there, we registered the patient's name, date of birth and the cause of the visit. The nurse at the reception area then informed us what time was our appointment with the doctor. We waited for about an hour for our appointment. Just as it was to be our turn, a traffic accident happened and the doctor had to rush out to the accident scene. One of the nurses informed everyone in the waiting room, including us. But as it was already our turn and he understood that a toddler was involved, he asked to see if he could help in the meantime. And help he did, effectively. He was patient and understanding. Kenneth was the name on his tag. :)
Soon after, the doctor came back and after taking a short moment, he dived into checking the child - ears, tongue, throat, breathing, tummy for rashes, etc. After which, he concluded the child's fever may only be because of teething, he wanted her temperature to be monitored at home. After paying for her medicine (the nurse & doctor gave us dosage for a day), we went home with paracetamol for children, by that time, her first dose was already working wonders. She was jovial and playing with her toys :)
The whole process was done in English. I just wanted to reiterate this experience because professional and dependable medical help is very, very valuable, and in this case, it was a huge, huge relief for us, especially for the toddler and her parents. Words cannot describe the emotional roller-coaster ride that we felt in that doctor's room, but we emerged from the room feeling grateful.
